“The supreme art of war is to subdue the enemy without fighting.” (Sun Tzu)

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Cyber Security Coalition in partnership with the Centre for Cybersecurity Belgium (CCB) and the European Cyber Security Organisation (ECSO) have joined forces to organize a Cyber Talk

First, Mrs. Nina Hasratyan, Policy Manager at ECSO, will update you on the latest developments at Women4Cyber, this laudable initiative that wants to foster the participation of women in the cybersecurity profession.

Then, several inspiring top experts will elaborate on the shaping of cyber foreign policy. The last decade has seen emerging technologies impact national economic systems in virtual space. This has changed the diplomatic agenda, with cyber threats moving to the top and with many governments already acknowledging that ignoring cyber diplomacy is no longer an option for global dynamics.

The role of diplomacy in cyberspace is much less prominent in the media than stories of cyber incidents. That is why in this Cyber Talk we want to focus on Cyber Diplomacy and the emergence of a cyber-international society

  • Mrs. Camille Gufflet, Policy Officer at the European External Action Service (EEAS), will  provide you with valuable insights on Europe’s approach to cyber diplomacy;
  • Mrs Heli Tiirmaa-Klaar, Ambassador at large for Cyber Diplomacy at the  Estonian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Mrs. Sévérine de Potter, Cyber Diplomacy Desk Officer at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Belgium, will explain how member states  have streamlined cyber issues into their foreign policies;
  • Mrs. Liga RozentäleSenior Director, Cybersecurity and Emerging Threats Policy at Microsoft European Governmental Affairs, will highlight the importance of involving all stakeholders  in the collective action to advance digital peace.

Mrs. Phédra Clouner, Deputy Director of the CCB, will moderate the entire event.

Mrs. Clouner, Mrs. Tiirmaa-Klaar and Mrs. Rozentäle are member of the Women4Cyber Council.

We hope that you will join us in our celebration of Women’s Day!
