GRC: Be Connected!

What you can learn about risk management from the financial industry

In order to stay connected, the Cyber Security Coalition, ISACA Belgium and the Solvay Brussels School have joined forces to launch “GRC Be connected” to provide an opportunity for experience and knowledge sharing until we resume in-person meetings hopefully later in this New Year

The webinars with practical and hands-on case studies will help you to learn about information security governance and management, reducing enterprise risk, meeting global compliance standards, as well as applying audit practices and using the ISACA knowledge of bodies to deliver solutions. By applying these skills to the tasks and challenges you face in your work, you will be able to deliver stronger and more compliant solutions to managing cyber related risks and applying information governance roles and responsibilities.

In this second webinar, we will concentrate on risk management:

  • Mr. Peter Debasse, chair of the GRC Focus Group of the Coalition and Group CISO of KBC Group, will bring a use case on (IT) risk management in the banking sector;
  • A seasoned Risk Management Leader Mrs. Dina Quraishi will share with you her strong beliefs in active and holistic risk management, embedded into business strategy design and execution. She has spent her risk management career embedding and fostering risk culture in companies – bringing risk appetite to life and implementing risk management by design. She has deep experience in board and regulatory interactions in complex environments.
  • As organizer of the annual ISACA CRISC booth camp, Mr. Arnold Meyers, Information Risk Manager at Argenta, is best placed to explain the real value of certification in IT Risk Management.

Subsequent webinars will address Information Security Governance (16/2), Audit (23/2), Information Security Management (23/3). In the last webinar (30/3) a challenge will be pitched and tackled by a panel of experts and practitioners.

Join us and find out how you can propel your own career and raise the bar in governance and risk management in your organization.

Do not hesitate to invite your colleagues to participate in the webinars. They can register through this link

We are looking forward to meeting you at our first webinar on February 9th (1:00 p.m.- 3:00 p.m.)!
