Stop your password being stolen.

Complicated password, safe data!

Dear colleague,

You receive an angry message from your most important client. He received a mail sent from your e-mail address with an attachment to download. When opening the file, his computer blocked. He lost important data and is in serious trouble. He wants an explanation…

Did you not send this e-mail…?

Attention: hacking!

A person with bad intentions hacked your password. In fact this person has your keys in his hands. He can steal confidential information, send messages on your behalf to all your contacts (friends, colleagues, clients). He can log in social networks with your profile and buy stuff on your favourite sites.

Disturbing? Do you know how much time a hacker needs to reveal your password? Test online how strong it is!

I do the test

Password: do not take unnecessary risks!

Choose a ‘passphrase’

  • Make a long and ‘complex’ password, between 14 and 20 characters.
  • Choose passphrases, easy to remember and difficult to guess.
  • Keep  the spaces in your passphrases, easier to type.
  • Use upper and lower case.
  • Add numbers and symbols.

Take good reflexes against hacking

  • Change your password at least every three months.
  • Choose different passwords for professional and private use.
  • Prefer a double control, via e.g. an SMS-code.
  • Don’t save you password in your browser.
  • Don’t pass along your password to thirds.

How to react when your password has been hacked?

  • Alarm the responsible in your organisation.
  • Contact the service that manages the hacked account.
  • Warn your contacts via another channel.
  • Change and strengthen your passwords.
  • Execute an antivirus control on your computer.

Good to know

Difficult to memorize things? Use a security management software for your passwords (a ‘password manager’) and memorize only one passphrase to access to all your passwords.
